Who we are

FFour Apps is a trading name of MDot Holdings Limited. Registered in England and Wales, company number 11052359. Registered office: 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. MDot Holdings Limited is the data controller for anything described on this page.

Our apps

We build our apps to work on-device. By default they do not create accounts, do not require you to sign in, and do not send your personal data to us or to anyone else.

Where an app needs to behave differently, for example to sync between your devices, to send crash reports, or to use a third-party service, that app will have its own privacy policy. It will be linked from the app's store listing and from the app's entry on this site, and it takes precedence over this general policy for that app.

Any data an app stores stays on your device, or in your own cloud account if you choose to back it up. Deleting the app removes that data.

Feedback sent from an app

Our apps have a feedback form and a request form in their settings. Using them is optional. When you send something, the app sends us the message you wrote, the part of the app you chose, the app version and platform, and, where relevant, what you were looking at in the app, such as the ceremony and role selected. So that we can reproduce a problem, it also sends a short description of what the app was running on: the operating system and its version, the device model name where the system provides one, the browser engine version, the screen and window size, and whether you opened it as an installed app or in a browser. None of that is unique to you or your device. It also sends a random identifier that the app made up when it was first installed.

That identifier is not your name, email address, phone number, device serial or advertising ID, and it cannot be traced back to you by us or anyone else. Its only purpose is to let your installation of the app show you your own submissions and our replies, and nothing that other people have sent. If you reinstall the app it gets a new one. We do not record your IP address with a submission.

Submissions are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure in a database that only we can read. We keep them for as long as they are useful for improving the app. If you would like your submissions deleted, send us the message text or the date from the "Your feedback" list in the app and we will remove them; we have no other way to find them, because we do not know who sent what. When you request another working or order, you can also give an email address so we can tell you when it is available. That is optional. We use the address for that one message and nothing else, and we delete it once we have sent it.

Please do not put personal details about yourself or other people in a feedback message. If you do, we will treat them as described under "When you contact us".

This website

This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google and Google receives the technical details of that request, such as your IP address and browser type. Google's privacy policy covers how it handles those requests. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs for security and reliability.

Demo videos on app pages are hosted on this site and play in your browser without any third-party player. Waitlist forms on this site are sent to our own server on Cloudflare, which checks them for spam and then records them in a Google Form that we control, so Google processes that data on our behalf. If we enable Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots, Cloudflare's privacy policy covers that check. We use waitlist details only to tell you about the app you signed up for, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

When you contact us

If you email us, we keep your message and address for as long as we need to deal with it. We use them only to reply to you and do not add you to any mailing list.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how we have handled it. In most cases we will hold nothing, because our apps do not collect it; feedback you have sent is the exception, and the section above explains how to have it removed.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top. Substantive changes that affect a specific app will also be reflected in that app's own policy.
