Small, well-made apps that respect the people using them.

We design and build software with care: quiet, useful tools that do one thing well and then get out of the way.

How we work

Four things we hold every app to.

The same four ideas run through everything made under the FFour name. In software they look like this.

  1. 01 — Form

    It should look right.

Clear type, steady rhythm and nothing on the screen that does not earn its place.

  2. 02 — Function

    It should do the job.

Each app has a narrow purpose and does it reliably, without features bolted on to fill a roadmap.

  3. 03 — Flow

It should get out of the way.

Fast to open, obvious to use, and finished with in a moment. Good tools are ones you barely notice.

  4. 04 — Feeling

    It should respect you.

No dark patterns, no nagging, and no harvesting of data. Your device is yours and so is what you do on it.

    Winchester Signal

Built for Winchester Council: street-level coverage data set against the public buildings that could host a mast, so the city's mobile not-spots are easy to see and act on.

Our first apps are being built and will be listed here when they are released.
